Prior to coaching and consulting, I was an award-winning elementary school teacher in Washington DC. I left the classroom wanting to expand my impact. I joined TNTP(The New Teacher Project) and led the DC Teaching Fellows where I redesigned and led two summer institutes and two winter institutes for over 600 new teachers. I coached and led those teachers to become award-winning educators, and leaders across DC. At TNTP, I supported the internal and external equity work. Additionally, I led Conscious Inclusion and participated in the National SEED Project. I led the internal training series for staff, Facilitating for Equity. I have supported external partners on their journey to identify inequities and redesign their systems to eliminate those inequities. I have established myself as a leader in strategic thinking, organizational operations and culture, and educational equity.
I identify as a white, straight, cisgender, and able-bodied female. I am firm advocate for racial justice and equity for all, especially in the education world. I was a scholar athlete and earned a B.A. in Political Science from Winthrop University. I later earned my Masters from American University in Elementary Education. My family and I are avid hikers and have two daughters.
